Stories will be judged in five categories: Grades K-2, Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8, Grades 9-12 and Adult. All winners will receive an ALD journal and a gift certificate. The Winner in each category will receive a $50 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble. The Honorable Mention in each category will receive a $25 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble. Winners will be featured in the Library District’s monthly newsletter, The Dewey, as well as on the ALD website at www.arapahoelibraries.org.
Rules and Overview ·Your entry must be no more than 1,000 words. ·Your entry may be handwritten or typed, preferably double-spaced. ·Please make a copy if you'd like one to keep, as entries will not be returned. ·Create your own story title and put it at the top of the first page. ·Do not put your name on any part of your story. ·Fill out the entry form and attach it securely to your story. ·Entries may be turned in at any Arapahoe Library District location or mailed to Cindy Mares, Arapahoe Library District, 12855 E. Adam Aircraft Cir., Englewood, CO 80112. No faxes or e-mails, please.
